The 9th of February, more than thirty young Tunisian activists gathered together in Tataounie to participate in the cafe-debate “Political violence: the hatred discuss and the political murder”. The decision to deal with this type of violent extremism was done in remembrance to the 6th of February 2013, date of the murder of the political militant and lawyer Chokri Belaid.
This cafe-debate aims to underline the dangers of hatred discusses that contribute to the destabilisation of the democratic political dialogue and constitute a catalyst for ravages to people and even driving to murder. The debate was moderated by Oumayma Jabnouni, member of the directive committee of Ligue Tunisienne des Droits Humains (Tunisian League of Human Rights), and had as speakers Mahdi Jlassi, member of le Syndicat National des Journalistes Tunisiens (the National Syndicat of Tunisian Journalists), and Abdenaceur Laouini, lawyer and member of le Comité de Défense des Chokri Belaid et Mohamed Brahmi (the Committee of Defence of Chokri Belaid and Mohamed Brahmi).
