After the start of the formative cycle for the Prevention of Violent Extremisms (PVE), the 30th and 31st of August in Tataouine, the OPEV continues its work on reinforcing the leadership of civil society actors and other local authorities to foster social cohesion and community resilience against violence.
The 6th and 7th of September, as part of the cooperation programme between l’Union Génerale Tunisienne du Travail (General Tunisian Union of Workers) and the association NOVACT, a second formative session was held to the benefit of the syndicalist section of the public function in regards to the topic of Prevention of Violent Extremisms. This session allowed to bolster the capacities of female and young syndicalists in the topic of PVE. There were gathered syndicalists from Tunis, Nabeul, Zaghouan, Kasserine, Monastir, Sfax, Bizerte, Sidi Bouzid and Kairouan.
OPEV’s aim towards the formative cycle for PVE, that will take place in Austria, Italy, Jordan, Palestine and Tunisia, is to contribute in the adoption of innovative methodologies and to strengthen the role of women, youth and local public actors in the matter of PVE.
This activity is part of the project SALAM for la prevention of violent extremism in #Tunisie of #OPEV and financed by the European Union and the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation and Development.
