This document is the first Briefing Paper of the Observatory to Prevent Violent Extremism (OPEV). Its objective is to offer a critical reflection on the PRODERAI protocol, analyzing its objectives and the theoretical bases that govern it in relation to the evidences of academic research. The document also wants to propose some considerations on the risks of its implementation related to similar experiences applied in other countries of the European area.
